MY APPROACH

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with an engaging, warm, and holistic approach to therapy. Every human being is the expert on their own lives and can benefit from the insight that therapy can provide. Our work together will remove the noise and interference that can come from past trauma so you can become more in tune with the person you were meant to be.

My clinical approach varies depending on the individual's needs and desires. Some clients may be living with long-term collective trauma, chronic anxiety, depression or shame and require more of a psychodynamic approach. Others may have a specific incident that they want resolved in short-term therapy. I work primarily from what's known as a relational and attachment-oriented perspective in all cases and work with the clients to pinpoint their goal in therapy. From there we make a plan on how we will work together to accomplish those goals and become the best person they can be.

I often integrate talk therapy with other types of depending on the individual’s needs and interests. We may include research-based mind-body practices such as Brainspotting, Attachment-Focused EMDR, and Mindfulness which support trauma recovery with other therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) which help change behavior and support one’s ability to tolerate distress.

I have extensive training in these areas and have helped countless clients make significant improvements in their personal, professional, and creative lives by facing those obstacles that one has been avoiding. We work as a team with a perspective that fear from the past will not dictate one’s progress for the future.
